Description
The antibody reacts with both intact human ICAM-1, CD54 and with soluble human ICAM-1. The antibody reacts also with ICAM-1 present on chimpanzee, rhesus monkey, cynomolgus monkey and baboon tissues.
Formulation
0.5 ml (100 µg/ml) 0.2 µm filtered biotinylated antibody solution in PBS, containing 0.02% sodium azide and 0.1% bovine serum albumin.

Application
The antibody can be used for immuno assays, Western blotting and immuno precipitation. Furthermore the antibody is useful for staining of ICAM-1 in frozen tissue sections. The antibody is useful for staining of chimpanzee, rhesus monkey, cynomolgous monkey and baboon tissues.
Use
For immunohistology and Western blotting dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:10. For selection of the most useful dilution in a given situation a test staining with cells or tissue known to express the antigen should be performed. To this end a small fresh skin biopsy can be incubated for 4 hours with TNF-alpha (1 ng/ml), IL-1 (100 U/ml) or LPS (1 µg/ml) in tissue culture medium at 37°C.
Storage and stability
Product should be stored at 4°C. Under recommended storage conditions, product is stable for one year.
