TNF/TNF-R, assays description
TNF-a is implicated with apoptotic cell death, cellular proliferation, differentiation, inflammation, tumorigenesis, and viral replication. The well-characterized TNF-a antibodies below are helpful to discriminate between different protein forms: membrane-bound TNF, receptor-bound TNF and free TNF. Two distinct cell surface receptors (TNF Receptor I and TNF Receptor II) mediate the function of TNF. Both receptors belong to the TNF Receptor superfamily. The antibodies have been thoroughly tested on characteristic properties like antagonism, agonism, and receptor modulation.
