Change in Management Structure at Hycult Biotech
As of October 1st, 2025, there has been a change in the management structure at Hycult Biotech. Our Managing Director, Ronald de Niet, has decided to step back from his day-to-day operational responsibilities. To ensure the continuity of our organization and support further growth, he has transferred responsibility for internal operations to Marja van Genugten.
We are therefore pleased to announce that Marja has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective October 1st. In this role, she will focus on the day-to-day management and internal organization of the company. Ronald will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will remain actively involved in determining the strategic direction and further development of Hycult Biotech. This step strengthens our organization for the future by making a clear distinction between strategic and operational leadership. This structure will enable us to pursue our mission providing high-quality tools for innate immunity research with even greater focus and impact.
About Ronald de Niet
Ronald de Niet, son of Marieke and Wim de Niet, became CEO in 2014. With a background in business administration and his strong commercial mindset, Ronald has played a crucial role in developing Hycult Biotech into a leading manufacturer in the field of innate immunity, with a special focus on complement pathways.
Ronald has greatly valued his 11 years as CEO. But especially since the loss of one of his dear friends last year, he has been reflecting on what truly matters in life. This reflection reaffirmed the importance of focusing on what brings both success and personal fulfillment. With that in mind, Ronald has chosen to reduce his operational workload and spend more time to the things he enjoys most. Ronald is not leaving the company. Although he has chosen to pass on the baton, Ronald will remain actively involved in the company and continue to be a familiar presence.
