Monoclonal antibody clone Tx31 recognizes human Nectin-2. Nectin-2 was initially discovered as a poliovirus receptor-related protein (PRR2).
Monoclonal antibody clone Tx31 recognizes human Nectin-2. Nectin-2 was initially discovered as a poliovirus receptor-related protein (PRR2). Nectins are immunoglobulin-like transmembrane cell adhesion molecules expressed in various cell types. The nectin family consist of 4 members. Nectin-1/2/3 are expressed in cells like fibroblast, epithelial cells and neurons. Nectin-2 is also expressed in hematopoietic cells and spermatids. Nectins, which are ca2+-independent immunoglobulin like molecules, regulate cell-cell adhesions. They are involved in different type of disease like viral infection, autism, Alzheimer and cancer. Nectin-2 is believed to form homodimers or heterodimers in their function for cell adhesion. It forms an immune costimulatory function together with DNAM-1 thereby regulating both NK and CTL function.

|Application notes:||- W: the antibody can be used for reduced and non-reduced samples. The expected band size is 48 kDa.
- FS: anti-CD112 mAb partially inhibited CD226-Fc binding to the CD112 transfectant. It is of note that anti-CD155 and anti-CD112 (TX-31) mAb partially, rather than completely, inhibited the cytotoxicity, probably because these mAb incompletely blocked interaction of CD226 with the ligands (Ref.1).
